Our team, based in Auckland, New Zealand, specialise in arbitration and mediation for local, Mandarin speaking Chinese businesses and individuals.

Led by Lawyer, Margaret Chen, our arbitration and mediation services focus on addressing quicker and more cost-effective settlements in situations where agreements and expectations between parties may be more ambiguous and language and culture may otherwise be a barrier. This is a common issue faced by those operating within the Chinese cultural norms in New Zealand.

Margaret has a deep understanding of Chinese culture, as well as being fluent in both Mandarin and English, she has extensive experience working across a range of legal areas.

Edwin deals with complex commercial transactions for both private and public clients, capital market transactions including takeovers, shareholder disputes, property law, resource management and civil litigation. Edwin has provided advice to the full client spectrum, from large globally listed companies to small and medium sized businesses. Earlier in his career, Edwin worked for both a top CBD firm, Kensington Swan, and for Burton & Co, a boutique firm specialising in commercial property.
